Lazy Dad's Way to Cure a Fever at Home

Are you the type of dad who works at home while your wife is at the office? If that's the case, we are sure there were some house chores left for you. Assuming you were lazy to do the duties at home. No one can stop you from being sluggish like a heavy water bag. But what if your youngest child has fever? Do you know what to do?

Curing a fever at home is easy as 1-2-3, even you are the inert dad in the world. You only need a medicine, warm water bag compressor, blanket, and of course your warm hands. If you still don't get it, the following will guide you how to cure your child all by yourself:

- Take off any excess clothes and blankets. You should maintain the environment cozy and comfortable.
- Have your child worn the most comfortable pajamas or robe. Put his socks on.
- Imbibe him with liquids like fresh water. If he feels good enough, give him a refreshing warm tea (but you never know if he likes it.)
- Give him a medicine like Acetaminophen (Children's tempra) or Ibuprofen (Children's mortin) to reduce fever. These medicines are formulated specially for your child. You don't have to worry about the taste. It complies on their sensitive and playful tongue.
- Use compressors like specialized water bags. This bag helps to lower your child's temperature, hence reducing the fever faster. Water bags can be filled with cold liquid.
- Apply a damp cloth to his legs, feet, and neck. Excess application might cause your child to shiver.
- This is a tricky advice: give your child a Popsicle or ice cream. In-taking cold food like ice cream would help your child's body temperature become lower. If he has chills, give him a hot chocolate or milk.
- Apply your magic touch. Massage his neck or back. Also try to massage his arms, legs, and hands to soothe his muscle.
- If possible, keep your child in a cold room to reduce the cold temperature on his body. If his body is shivering, let him stay in a warm place to secrete a sweat. This also helps to lower his body temperature.

We are certain you can cure your child even without exerting too much effort. You can buy the needed medicines and water bags in a pharmaceutical section. If your child's temperature hasn't changed, send him to a pediatrician to give him further medical treatment.
