Meetings and Events
Mail List In order to post on the mail list, it is necessary to join the list. Click on "Mail List for SMAUG" below for instructions. Smaug Meetings We have been meeting at Mr Toots in Capitola Village, at 7:30 pm on Thursday evenings. On August 11, we met in a room in the library at Harbor High School. There is a link below regarding the location. We haven't arranged yet to begin meeting at the high school on a regular basis. I'll update this page when we get permission, and decide to go through with a change. Also, I want to meet an hour earlier and possibly another day. Announcing Fedora 15 is available - There's a link on the lower right of this page. Felton LUG Cabrillo College had a LUG for a while, but I haven't seen any activity announced for many months. If anyone knows about that, please post on the SMAUG mail list. Lindependence ran a series of installfests in Felton a couple of summers ago. They plan to have another series in the San Lorenzo Valley in the future. Welcome to SmaugSmaug is a social and technical group for users of the more interesting computer operating systems — including but not limited to the BSD Unix family and Linux — meeting regularly in the Santa Cruz area. All meetings are free of charge, and all interested parties are welcome. There is now a LUG in Felton, which meets (usually) on the second Saturday of each month, from 2 to 6 pm, at the firehouse downtown.
